Just a Little County

No matter if it is in the kitchen or the great outdoors, it's time to put a little country in our lives.

HI!
Yeah, I know.  I've been gone for quite some time now.  Life has a way of nipping you in the tail-end and things 'just happen.'  And, that is what happened...things.  And, I apologize for being gone so long.
However, I have a LOT to share.   First, not sure if I have told you, but I'm going to be a grandmother.  My beautiful daughter and her husband are expecting their first child December 9 (give or take).  It is a very exciting time!  Second, health issues up the wazoo!  If not one thing, it's another, but I think we've just about got everyone healthy again...and if not, on the way.  And, last, school!  It has been back to back classes, one ends, another begins with no breaks inbetween!  Thank God I have had my last class and will begin the last 16 weeks of student teaching in the Fall and will graduate in December.  Can we say "PARTY!"?   Oh wait, then come the task of finding employment. 'sigh'
The last 3 weeks I have been 'under the weather' as they say.  And, who are 'they'?  Anyway, I have a doctor's appointment on the 24th and hopefully, things will get even better.  Next Friday, DH and I will be taking a day trip to Muskogee, Oklahoma to JC Penny's to go on a shopping spree for me some new "school" clothes!  I am so hyped up about this I can't see right!!! And, speaking of DH, he was put on 3rd (again) over something that happened when he wasn't even there (that or get fired!).  But, he will be transferring to 1st shift next week!  I don't think we could be happier!  I actually miss my DH!
I am so hoping to be able to get back on here and share some of the things we have done.  For one, we attempted to transform out front yard into a Better Homes and Garden landscape and that failed big time!  So, this Fall, once the temps are not over 100, we will get out there and rethink our original thinking and redo the front yard.  I hope to post about that, as well. As for the cooking, well, it has been the 'what-ever-I-can-throw-together' kind of dinners and that's not saying much.  Again, it's just too hot to be outside, so not much grilling going on, nor is there any 'oven' cooking going on.  Mostly sandwiches, chips, microwave heat-and-eat foods.
Have I ever mentioned that I really, REALLY HATE summer?  If not, there it is!
Happy Crafting!
